At the moment its blueberry-season and they are delicious!

Aus Istimmig für üses Fernziel, z Nordkapp, bsueche mir fäng mau z Kape Kolka, dr üsserscht Zipfu vo Lettland. Dert gits ganz luschtigit chlyni Vögu wo am Strand Insekte picke, sie chöi sehr schnäu sekkle, vor auem we sie vore Wäue überrascht wärde.

To warm up for our big destination the northern cape, we visited the cape of Kolka. That's the tip of Latvia towars the northwest. We saw a lot of small birds who are picking for insects on the shore. They are really fast runners, especially when they get surprised by a wave.

Im Baltikum isch wild Campiere offiziell erloubt und es Plätzli für ei Nacht z finde isch meischtens nid so ufwändig wies bishär isch gsi. E Viertustund u mä isch komplett elei. Eigentlich isch üsi erschti Regel im Alltag dass mir vor Sunneuntergang es Plätzli für d Nacht finde, süsch muess mä sich mit wenig zfriede gäh. Mängisch gits aber o Usnahme wie ds Plätzli im Foto unge wo mir ir komplette Dunkuheit gfunde hei u am nächschte Morge e schöni Überraschig hei gha.

In the baltics wild camping is officially allowed and finding a camp for the night has gotten so much easier for us. Most nights we invest a quarter of an hour and find some place. If we don't have our own ideas we often use the apps iOverlander or Park4night to get ideas where other people have camped before. Normally our rule is to find a place before sunset, because usually otherwise we don't really find good places. But sometimes there's an exception like on the following picture, where we arrived in complete darkness and were surprised by the nice surrounding the following morning.
